One of the limitations of in-the-tube footage is simply pointing the camera in the right direction for the ultimate view. It’s a fine line between the perfect shot and useless footage. Well imagine watching a video and the viewer controlling which way you want to look – forward into the tube or back at the surfer. Enter the new 360Fly camera.
If this thing delivers the experience the below video promises it will really take surfing and action sports filming to a whole new level. Developed out of a robotics lab in Carnegie Mellon University the tech specs look promising with a 50 meter underwater rating and -20c to 40c temperature rating they seem to have covered the must-haves to compete with GoPro.
So if you are an early adopter then for just US$550 incl shipping to Australia you can pre order one for delivery in our Autumn (USA spring). If you do get one email us some surfing footage!
